This bouquet from @myladygarden is so unusual, I’ve never seen anything quite like it! 💕 a kind surprise from @lancomeofficial to celebrate a new arrival to the #LaVieEstBelle fragrance family, Soleil Cristal. It’s just as sweet as the original but with the addition of sunnier notes like coconut. If rich, creamy sweet scents are your bag, you’ll like it. The bottle is iridescent and catches lots of colours, just like these pastel blooms. Special mention to the hand dipped @fairholme_studio candles which I lit for hours yesterday and they are standing as tall as ever! 🌟💜 AD info: no paid or sponsored content, items gifted.
Just finished @adrienne_ldn book, Power Hour, and I felt compelled to share because it’s the best thing I’ve read in a long time. Since I read this, I’ve tried to dedicate the first hour of the day to getting myself organised. I’m paraphrasing, but Adrienne’s philosophy is to commit to making the most of a power hour each day, rather than putting pressure on yourself to be productive *all* day. It’s much more realistic, especially in this climate. I am all for positive thinking books and some of them I absolutely love, but I also believe that positive thinking works best when backed up with lots of practical steps and action. The suggestions in Power Hour merge the two perfectly. Years ago I met Adrienne on a work trip to Paris (lucky us). Before the rest of us had got down to breakfast, she had already gone for a run, and showed us her pics of Paris as we wiped the sleep from our eyes! I know she truly lives and breathes these suggestions and her happy energy really rubs off. Positive quotes can be a bit of a kick in the tummy if you’re not feeling great. This book is the antidote to that, the realistic approach to positivity. Thank you for kick starting my 2021 in a happy way Adrienne. Xxx
Earlier this year, I asked you to tell me what you were most looking forward to after lockdown. I got hundreds of responses and I saved the answers to my camera roll. I’ve read through them so many times since because we all wanted the same things. We are all different people with different needs and sources of comfort, and yet right now all we want collectively is to see our loved ones. Maybe it’s a bit sad to share this today because it hits home now more than ever. But I thought it would be a little reminder that we are all on a journey and experiencing the same feelings, especially when it comes to missing people. I hope your Christmas is as good as it can be this year, and a huge thank you if you were one of those who answered in what became the most heart warming question I ever asked! Xxx 🎄💕🌟
CHRISTMAS PODCAST ❤️ Today, Love, Actually’s hair and make-up director Graham Johnston is joining me to reminisce about his time on the movie. His portfolio is incredible, so there’s some talk of Bridget Jones’ Diary, Spiceworld and Trainspotting along the way too. Whatever Christmas looks like this year, I know without fail I will take huge comfort and joy in watching Love, Actually, and I always do. I hope you enjoy this trip behind the scenes. To listen, search ‘Beauty from the Heart’ in Google or wherever you find your podcasts. This is the last episode of 2020 so thank you SO much for listening and I’ll be back with a new series in the new year. A special thank you to my friend @ellamakesprints who produces this for me - visit her page to see some of her beautiful prints! I’m still taking some time out after my operation so I’ll be talking to you soon. Sending Graham my hugest thanks for seeing us out of 2020 on a happy note. 👋🏼 Just to let you know I’m switching off for a few weeks as I just had an operation I wasn’t expecting. Nothing to worry about, I’m on the mend, but I won’t be checking in at all or reading messages. I’m really not the kind of person to make a song and dance of something like that, but equally I am lucky enough to have people that notice when I dip out and I didn’t want you to worry. There is a Christmas special of my podcast coming next week that I had pre-made, and I’m so excited for you to hear that. And in the meantime I’ll be talking to you soon. XX 💕🎄✨
NEW PODCAST 💕 @carolinebarnesmakeup is joining me today to discuss the beauty of coming together through hard times. We talk about her career through make-up and music, her longstanding relationship with @LGFBUK, and the @nhsmoraleboost she organised earlier this year. I love Caroline and this is such a great chat if you’ve ever wondered what it’s like to tour with a pop-star as their make-up artist - she shares some of her experiences touring with Kylie Minogue! You’ll also hear about a lovely charity Christmas initiative from @batiste_hair in this episode which makes for some lovely stocking filler inspiration.
